We are partnered with a manufacturing company seeking an experienced Corporate Payroll Specialist. The corporate payroll specialist will handle payroll for plants in Southern California and a few out of state employees. They will run reports on time and accurately, collaborating closely with HR, Finance, and Operations at various plants.
This is a direct-hire and onsite position.
Core Duties:
Process biweekly payroll for over 800 hourly and exempt employees.
Respond to requests for employment verification and process payroll-related expenses and reimbursements to provide administrative support.
Conduct audit payroll records on a regular basis.
Address employee concerns about wage discrepancies and find solutions to imbalances.
Processing and management of the garnishment dashboard.
ACA Maintenance, which includes tracking, auditing, and reporting.
Enter and extract data for reporting, compliance, and metrics from several HR systems.
Maintain timecard edit punches weekly, ensuring data is accurate, and obtaining employee and direct supervisor or manager approval for timecards.
Create weekly CLU reports and send them to all facilities.
Annual EEOC reporting must be finished and filed.
Ensure payroll reports are downloaded and that data is kept private and safe.
Budget for regular and overtime pay, as well as commissions and bonuses, should be balanced.
Track and handle any adjustments to the payroll, promotions, or annual reviews.
What we’re looking for:
2 - 4 years experience working in payroll (preferably in the manufacturing space)
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
Experience working with accounting and payroll software such as Paycom and ADP Workforce Now.
Working knowledge of managing payroll systems based on time and attendance.
Understanding of wage and hour laws.
Knowledge of local, state and federal laws that pertain to the payment of wages.
Intermediate Microsoft Office suite skills, specifically in Excel.
