    We are currently seeking an HR Specialist for one of our clients in the downtown Los Angeles, CA area. The HR Specialist will assist in the day-to-day functions of the HR department which includes supporting onboarding, compliance, employee relations, training as well as other HR-related responsibilities such as heavy filing of personnel files, responding to requests for employment verification, and responding to questions about HR policies and procedures. We are a casual yet fun group; we’re seeking a professional & poised HR Specialist to contribute to our healthy and positive work environment.

    **This is a direct hire position and onsite position with the opportunity for hybrid in the future.

    Core Duties:

    • Ensures consistent application and compliance with firm policies, professional standards and with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations

    • Coordinate with the training and professional development team to implement training and development plans and programs

    • Assist in the development of training materials concerning employee relations’ policies, practices, and procedures

    • Provides guidance to departmental officials regarding problem employees and interpretation of regulations

    • Coordinate and manage deliverables for multiple firm-sponsored events/activities offered to its workforce each month

    • Provide immigration support and administer expat-related policies and procedures throughout the duration of the expat assignment (visa renewal, payroll support, home leave, medical expense administration, etc.)

    • Continue & expand knowledge of best practices, trends and new technologies in human resources and related areas

    • Maintain, update and analyze other opportunities with employee benefits and resources

    • Compile reports and prepare spreadsheets (heavy use of Excel)

    • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department

    • Other duties as assigned

    What we’re looking for:

    • At least 1 year experience in Human Resources

    • Bachelor’s degree is a plus but not required

    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Table, VlookUp) is a must

    • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills

    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

    • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

    • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
