    POSITION OVERVIEW/SUMMARY

     

    Assists the Financial Planner(s) by preparing for client meetings including data gathering for the Meeting Agenda, Balance Sheets (Statement of Net Worth) and other actions as directed.Provides thorough and accurate analyses, data, research and proposals for presentation to clients. This position requires the ability to assimilate information from various sources and to use the data to provide the Planner with a coherent and cogent analysis and to deliver materials of highest quality: (verbiage/grammar/spelling/formatting/presentation/etc.) to the Advisor, and clients ahead of schedule. Follow up and follow through on client service requests generated by client meetings, the Advisor, and all client initiated communication.A positive attitude is essential to the successful functioning of the firm’s team-centric culture.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

     

    • See to completion of all client pre-and post-meeting action items assigned.

    • Follow-up and follow through on client service requests generated by the client meeting, the Financial Planner, and client initiated communication.

    • Review client portfolios, and compose investment recommendation letter drafts.

    • Gather and use data from client history (meeting notes, CCs, and filed forms), external sources such as the internet, financial organizations and client conversations.

    • Research daily client securities transactions through our broker-dealer website (i.e. TD Ameritrade, Advent).

    • Prepare insurance illustration recommendation letters, and applications. Track applications to completion.

    • Prepare investment performance analyses.

    • Calculate simple tax projections.

    • Estimate client’s taxable income as needed.

    • Prepare forms, letters, and applications needed for client meetings.

    • Maintain Systematic Withdrawal Processing/Periodic Investment Processing spreadsheet.

    • Maintain Required Minimum Distributions spreadsheet.

    • Manage firm’s client accounts and Books & Records on TD Ameritrade Institutional website

    • Run miscellaneous reports when requested.

    • Input and maintain client information and connections on our eMoney platform.

    • Professional writing ability with excellent grammar and proofreading skills.

    • An individual who is energetic, introspective, and extremely detail-oriented, with creative problem-solving abilities.

    • Understand aspects of financial planning, i.e. Financial Plan preparation, retirement planning, estate planning, tax planning, risk management, Cash Flow analysis.

    • Capability to analyze and synthesize solutions to problems in retirement planning, asset allocation, tax issues and insurance.

    • Possess excellent listening and communication skills for interacting with clients and team (staff) members.

    • Polished (professional) demeanor/appearance/presence.

    • Must be flexible regarding workflow priorities.

    • Must understand and accept personal responsibility and accountability.

    • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment towards matters of confidentiality and priority setting.

    • Must have people sensitivity and embrace diversity in all its forms.
