     About the Role:

    The Associate Advisor at the firm is an integral part of our team serving as a connection between our clients, support team, and advisors. This great communicator, influencer, and enthusiastic person will support the vision, positive culture, and team spirit of the firm.

     The Associate Advisor is responsible for technical financial planning and investment management, under the supervision of Advisors, Lead Advisors, and Senior Advisors. They work alongside an experienced advisor and other professionals to develop and follow through on client wealth management activities.

     They have obtained the proper licensing and experience to work directly with clients. They can perform indirect supervision and training to Paraplanners while collaborating with operations and vendors ensuring client satisfaction is at the highest level.

     Essential Responsibilities:

     Client and Team Engagement

    • Serve as the first point of contact for client inquiries in order to lessen service time required by more senior advisors
    • Demonstrate the ability to escalate potential client issues to advisory team members when appropriate
    • Communicate directly with clients on action items and follow-up as directed
    • May serve at the primary advisor for select clients and prospects as identified
    • Prepare and participate in review meetings including developing financial plans for clients
    • Understands client needs by identifying and confirming their objectives, goals, concerns and planning issues
    • Demonstrate a general understanding of asset allocation, portfolio structure, and trading strategy
    • Analyzes information and evaluates results to help determine the best solution to solve client or operational problems
    • Supports firm management, clients, or other groups outside the organization on technical financial planning, systems, process-related topics, or projects
    • Performs investment research while participating in investment committee meetings
    • Gathers and maintains client data in the organization’s software programs, including CRM, financial planning software, and other programs according to firm standards
    • Identifies client concerns, problems, or opportunities and addresses accordingly or notifies more senior advisors as appropriate
    • Update wealth profile and financial planning software with client data obtained at any point during the client/prospect life cycle
    • Prepare investment analysis in Morningstar or similar programs
    • Utilize tax projection, financial planning, and other software services under the supervision of advisory team members
    • Places trades as needed and serves as back up trader to Portfolio & Operations Specialist

     Compliance

    • Supports an effective and robust investment advisory compliance program, and performs other compliance related tasks and projects as assigned

    Position Specifications:


    Experience and Education:

    • A bachelor’s degree with CFP® certification highly preferred
    • Series 65 required or obtained within 6 months
    • Ideally 2-4 years of experience in financial services
    • Experience with investments and financial planning preferred
    • Experience working with various custodial platforms a plus

    Skills and Knowledge:

    • Excellent time management and strong organizational skills
    • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and anticipate potential problems
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and listening)
    • Ability to handle stress in an ever-changing investment market
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required
    • Proficiency in CRM required
    • Proficient in Morningstar or other investment analysis tools required
    • Knowledge of custodial and investment advisory regulations a plus
    • Demonstrates personal integrity, honesty and is able to deal with confidential information on a daily basis
