    Position Overview/Summary

    The Accounting Assistant will provide weekly and monthly accounting support in addition to general office administration support. This role is part time, approx. 20 hours a week, with flexibility on the schedule.

     

    Position Responsibilities

    Accounting

    • Process accounts payable
    • Maintain and manage accounts receivable and process incoming payments
    • Monthly billing of clients
    • Bank deposits and account reconciliation
    • Credit card reconciliations
    • Insurance renewal paperwork
    • Prepare monthly P&L by division and for the company
    • Input of annual budgets
    • Monthly client renewal notices

     

    Office Administration

    • Order office supplies
    • Arrange for training and in office/virtual meetings
    • Assist with marketing mailers and mass emails

     

    Background

    • 4-year degree preferred, ideally in business
    • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, particularly with A/P and A/R, required
    • Maintain professional demeanor with staff and clients
    • Ability to take direction, problem solve and be flexible to work on multiple tasks throughout business day
    • Must be computer proficient and have experience with MS Office, Outlook and QuickBooks
    • Must have strong organizational and prioritization skills
    • Strong attention to detail
