    5. Some office experience (administrative, inventory, data entry)

    FULL DESCRIPTION:

     RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Coordinate the development and maintenance of best practice process flows and policy and procedure documents to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department 
    • Ensure compliance with the organization's inventory accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives 
    • Develop, maintain, and perform effective audits and internal control procedures 
    • Manage the cycle count process: 
      1. Further develop, document, and implement the cycle count program 
      2. Report cycle counts/metrics to Accounting, Operations and Management
      3. Review and approve all cycle count adjustments 
      4. Research inventory discrepancies to identify additional controls that may be required in various Inventory Control processes to improve overall inventory accuracy 
      5. Properly schedules both IA's and 3rd Party Inventory companies to meet company expectations and standards

       

    • Manage the Physical Inventory Process: 
      1. Further develop, document, and implement for physical inventory counts 
      2. Coordinate physical inventory process with the Retail Department and

     

    Accounting 

    o    Manage inventory reconciliation process  

    1. Work with both IA's and External Auditors during physical inventories 
    2. Review and approve all PI adjustments o Research discrepancies 
    3. Document results (preliminary and final) to Accounting, Operations and Management; as well as recommendations to improve overall inventory accuracy

     

    • Assist in the determination and implementation of cost accounting procedures and methods 
    • Travel to be expected to monitor other regions compliance 
    • Other duties assigned

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Associate degree from an U.S. accredited Community College is preferred
    • Familiarity with the Fuel/Convenience Store industry preferred
    • Effective team skills 
    • Effective listening skills 
    • Strong analytical skills 
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills 
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and controls 
    • Ability to create and implement effective processes and procedures 
    • Ability to train Operations team for improved efficiencies 
    • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills 
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills: highly proficient in Excel and has skill in preparing table, graphs and charts 
    • Must possess a strong results and goal/deadline-oriented work ethic, high attention to detail and be flexible 
    • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to develop and bring to completion multiple assignments concurrently
