OVERVIEW

Immediate opening for a Tax Manager in San Diego, CA who possesses:

• Tax Manager experience (3-4 years minimum)
• Supervised and trained professional and administrative staff (4 to 6 minimum)
• California CPA License
• Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles
• Demonstrable in-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

DESIRED EXPERTISE:

• 5-7 years plus of public accounting experience
• Proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of Lacerte tax software a plus
• Great customer service skills
• Able to solve problems

TalentZok specializes in recruiting professional talent. We are currently seeking a Tax and Audit Manager for a leading and growing firm.

Progressive San Diego Certified Public Accounting firm located in the beautiful Balboa Park area desires to hire a detail-oriented Tax Manager with Audit and Accounting experience to be an important part of our dynamic team. The manager will be primarily responsible for the workflow of the production team; including preparation and review of individual and entity income tax returns and a small volume of compiled and reviewed financial statements. We are looking for a tax and audit manager who could improve and grow our professional staff. He/she must promote a team environment while at the same time demonstrate assertiveness and leadership skills.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Monitor and manage project workflow.
• Complete engagement work on a timely basis.
• Preparation of business tax returns including forms 1120, 1120S and 1065 (990 experience a plus)
• Preparation of individual/trust tax returns
• Preparation of compiled financial statements.
• Review work completed by staff and provide feedback/corrections
• Demonstrate a level of professionalism that shows ownership of projects and respect of clients by providing clients with confidential top-quality service
• Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing demands and tasks.
• Assist managing partner as needed
