BUYER/PURCHASING AGENT -TALENTZOK

Immediate opening for a Buyer/Purchasing Agent in Long Beach, CA who possesses:

• Computer proficiency: Excel, Word and (Epicor) + WILL BE TESTED IN EXCEL AND WORD
• Production Manufacturing/Fabrication Background in Purchasing - 2+ yrs.
• Finish Good Procurement Experience Working in an MRP or ERP Environment
• Ideal Candidate can speak Bilingual Spanish

The selected candidate will further possess:

• Associates Degree preferred but not required
• Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Dependable and responsible who can take direction and work with little supervision when required.
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems creating purchase order and tracking shipments.
• Must be detail oriented, dependable and able to work in a fast pace working environment under pressure.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Review and process purchase orders for fulfillment.
• Receive and process returns.
• Follow up on orders to determine status.
• Interact with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and lead time
• Responsible for coordinating material will calls from vendors.
• Communicate with internal personnel for material needs.
• Coordinates lead times for material orders with requesters.
• Ability to create and update Reports utilizing Microsoft software.
• Utilize purchasing and inventory software.
• Read and write technical Email.
• Attend meetings as requested by management/supervisors.
• Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
• Communicate pertinent information in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
• Research, interview, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain prices and specifications
