    FULL DESCRIPTION : Responsible for all payroll and benefit functions, support in personnel budget, forecast reporting and analysis functions, maintain up-to-date payroll tax filing records, managing all payroll data in compliance with federal, state, and local tax authorities and track any state tax credit incentive requirements. The position requires accountability to both finance/accounting and human resources departments. To perform this job successfully, the individual shall be well organized, detail oriented and capable of maintaining high level of confidentiality. He/she shall have strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll processes, data analysis in order to assure accuracy and timely in processing of payroll, reporting & analysis, budget, forecasting, and strong understanding of benefits administration and processing. The individual must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within an office setting environment; demonstrate trustworthiness and responsible behavior to handle all major payroll data and payroll tax related duties. This position relies on experience to perform the functions of the job under general supervision.

    The selected candidate will be responsible for:

    • Collaborate with HR department closely in administering payroll function for all employees by processing payroll data, ensuring timely and accuracy in computing, withholding, and calculating all deductions associated with net pay in compliance with federal, state, and local tax authorities
    • Responsible for entering and maintaining all payroll journal entries to the general ledger and reconciliation of the payroll bank accounts
    • Assist in managing and maintenance of all payroll data internally, track changes in personnel and payroll data in compliance with any state tax credit incentive requirements.
    • Maintain up-to-date payroll tax filing records and benefits record
    • Ensure accurate payroll records on HRIS, create analytical reports for corporate and regional management
    • Resolve payroll data/reports/system issues via hands on problem resolution, work with payroll vendor support in troubleshooting and evaluation of any payroll solutions when necessary; continuously seek ways to improve existing reporting processes and payroll programs using technology
    • Generate month-end payroll related reports for management and Finance department.
    • Perform various journal entries, account reconciliations, and provide General Ledger support
    • Work closely with HR department and assist in developing budgets for personnel operations; generate personnel forecast based on employment needs
    • Research for any corporate inquiries on discrepancies and variances in payroll/personnel cost/budget/forecast related data; verify data & information with HR department and respond to corporate accordingly
    • Utilize existing HRIS and in-house technology, analytical tools to develop and analyze any payroll/personnel cost related data
    • Support in research and evaluate payroll reporting systems, compare services as needed
    • Assist in internal audits as well as prepare information for external audits as assigned
    • Prepare/generate any periodic data reports in accurate and timely manner
    • Process applications, prepare, and submit monthly payments and reports (medical, dental, life insurance, RRSP, etc.)
    • Ensure all the enrollments are entered timely and correctly
    • Assist in special projects as assigned
    • Perform all other departmental duties as assigned
