SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST - REMOTE (BIOPHARMA) - TALENTZOK

OVERVIEW

In the role, you’ll be responsible for all global shipments of commercial and non-commercial materials including global inventory levels, import and export compliance, duty and VAT implications and reclaims, broker and transportation management. In addition, this position will be responsible for processing requisitions and quotes and generating purchase orders in appropriate systems.

Immediate opening for a Supply Chain Specialist in San Diego, CA who possesses:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in related Life Sciences discipline. Equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience may be considered.

• Minimum 3 years of supply chain and operations experience required.

• Minimum 2-3 years demonstrated experience in inventory management

• Understanding of integrated supply chain and logistics concepts and theories.

• Hands-on experience with logistics, inventory management and procurement.

• Purchasing experience is a key asset.

• JD Edwards, Agiloft and Coupa software experience a plus

• Strong knowledge of Import and Export Compliance; VAT and Duty processes

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Process all shipment requests ensuring appropriate import and export documentations are compliant.

• Responsible for the tracking of shipments of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), Drug Product (DP), Commercial product and R&D sample materials.

• Maintain and update ERP to make sure accuracy level is optimum and ensures on time delivery of goods and services.

• Maintain transportation and broker transactions.

• Identify and file for monthly VAT reclaims.

• Responsible for inventory levels of APIs and maintaining safety stock.

• Process Purchase Orders ensuring appropriate legal approval and following Procure to Pay (P2P) process.

• Liaise with project managers and buyer to provide delivery dates and accurate and timely shipping information.
