  • Responsibilities

    Our stable health & wellness client is seeking a Director of Finance to join their team to develop and oversee their accounting and finance operations. The Director of Finance opportunity is a great opportunity to directly collaborate with and support the CEO by maximizing profits and analyzing trends to improve financial profitability. The Director of Finance will play a hands-on role in the continuous improvement of the entity’s FP&A process and procedures and manage two direct reports. The Director of Finance will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

     

    • Oversee the preparation of all financial statements and related analysis, budgets, forecasts, and projections in an accurate and timely manner
    • Conduct detailed financial analysis and KPIs and provide strategic insight to senior management for maximizing revenue growth and minimizing expenses
    • Safeguard all financial assets and identify areas to mitigate risk and to recommend improvements to existing processes to reduce liabilities or exposure to potential loss
    • Develop and strengthen all departmental procedures and personnel by providing guidance and goals for further professional development
    • Review existing accounting and inventory systems and processes and resolves any weaknesses and challenges where needed

     

    The qualified Director of Finance will possess the following:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a business-related field
    • Preferably ten plus (10+) years of progressive experience demonstrating increasing responsibilities in a small to mid-sized organization
    • Manufacturing and/or consumer products industry experience highly preferred
    • Must have experience with Quickbooks (preferably Desktop Enterprise version)
    • Strong collaborative, managerial skills along with the ability to thrive in a fluid and dynamic environment at both an executive and hands-on detail level
    • Excellent communication (both oral and written) skills and the ability to gain trust with all departments within the organization
    • Solid knowledge of COGS and inventory management preferred

     

    Local candidates only as this role will operate in an 100% IN-OFFICE working arrangement. Possible hybrid arrangement will be considered if candidate can demonstrate efficient and seamless work product and staff management.
