Our established, internationally operating client located in central Orange County is seeking a Senior Manager of Financial Reporting to spearhead their external reporting function as well as play an integral role in technical accounting guidance and research.This is a great opportunity to build out the external reporting process and impact the company in a very visible way.For this role, the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Handle all aspects of external SEC reporting including preparing and filing the required forms and the related MD&A disclosures
• Liaise with external auditors to support the audit of external filings and ensure accurate data and filings
• Partner with other corporate functions and leadership including Accounting, Finance, and Audit to ensure regulatory reporting compliance
• Provide direction and guidance throughout the organization on complex accounting issues and transactions
• Identify and educate the organization on new accounting standards and assess the implications of those new matters through memos and position stance papers
• Perform research on all technical accounting matters and communicate the treatment of those standards internally for consistent application and compliance

The qualified Senior Manager of Financial Reporting must possess the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA Designation
• At least six years of related work experience – 3+ years in public accounting with a Big 4 or 2nd tier national firm and 3+ years in private industry in a SEC reporting role
• A strong knowledge of US GAAP principles, technical accounting matters, and external reporting requirements
• Prior experience with XBRL tagging is preferred
