  • Responsibilities

    Our growing financial services client is seeking a Chief Credit Officer to join their organization to manage all facets of credit and risk management for their credit card portfolio.  The Chief Credit Officer will also be responsible for establishing and implementing underwriting and credit operations policies and best practices for the full credit cycle – from underwriting to collections.  The Chief Credit Officer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

     

    • Create and implement the Company’s Credit and Lending policies and procedures
    • Develop the enterprise credit policy – including automated credit decisioning, credit line determination and management methodology, delinquent and default workflows, and the collection process
    • Stay current on lending and credit risk related developments, as well as new regulations that affect the Company’s program and portfolio
    • Create a credit risk strategy that promotes strong growth within the portfolio’s credit quality guidelines
    • Collaborate with other departments to investigate any credit issues/concerns and communicate findings/resolutions to management team
    • Manage relationships with external vendors, credit bureaus, and Company’s lending partner

     

    The qualified Chief Credit Officer will possess a(n):

    • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 10 years of credit and portfolio administration experience with credit card offerings
    • Extensive consumer credit experience as it relates to the consumer lifecycle
    • Outstanding working knowledge of federal and state lending laws and portfolio management
    • An excellent ability to analyze and interpret legal and statutory materials at the state and federal levels
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with hands-on execution at the ground level
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding, “start-up” type environment
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
