Our established, internationally operating client located in Irvine is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the daily operational accounting functions as well as supervise and direct the staff.  The Accounting Manager will play a vital role in the review of various accounting responsibilities but also be tasked to prepare various reports, reconciliations, and entries as needed.  The Accounting Manager is a great opportunity to be thoroughly involved with all facets of the daily and month-end close and provide insight and support for senior financial management.  For this role, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Oversee the daily and month-end accounting operations while managing, developing, and training staff
• Participate in overseeing the accounting of balance sheet and income statement accounts including cash, A/R, A/P, fixed assets, and payroll
• Coordinate periodic general ledger closing and consolidation responsibilities along with initial preparation of financial statements
• Assist in the implementation of best practices as well as participate in the implementation of the organization’s ERP system
• Lead and/or participate in organizational goals and departmental projects and initiatives that drive process improvement within the accounting function

The qualified Accounting Manager must possess the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA required – active status preferred
• At least six (6) years of related work experience – combination of public accounting (Big 4 or 2nd tier national firm preferred) AND private industry experience within a large multi-entity operating organization
• Prior experience in an international operating organization is preferred
• Previous managerial experience of a team of at least (3) staff would be preferred
