Our early stage medical device client located in Irvine is seeking a Corporate Controller to join their organization and assist with the management of daily accounting operations.  The Corporate Controller will oversee all aspects of the transactional accounting operations as well as general accounting and financial reporting operations.The Corporate Controller will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounting records for internal management and external reporting purposes.  For this role, the Corporate Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Oversee the month-end close process and oversee the successful completion of the close with various business units and the overall organization
• Drive the overall budget process enterprise wide and work with department heads to identify business trends and drivers that will impact operations
• Partner with senior management on financing transactions, M&A due diligence, Board and Executive Leadership reporting, and other projects as needed
• Identify areas for process improvements and efficiencies and communicate these opportunities to management
• Provide guidance and direction for the accounting staff and training on the daily responsibilities of team members

The qualified Corporate Controller must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 5+ years of experience at the controller level.  MBA is preferred along with any professional certifications such as a CPA.  A strong knowledge of US GAAP principles and reporting requirements is required along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.  Prior experience with a large ERP system is preferred.
