Our large, consumer products client is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant for their corporate tax function to help support all areas of taxation – business/indirect tax, income tax compliance, tax provision, and various tax projects. This opportunity will have the opportunity to fast track to a manager as well as excellent opportunity for long-term departmental leadership roles. The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Preparation of federal and state income tax returns
• Assistance with the calculation and support of the annual global tax provision
• Collaboration with external Big 4 CPA firm to manage property, sales & use tax returns
• Preparation of written responses to tax agency notices and tax audit inquiries
• Preparation of annual reports, franchise tax returns related to state qualification
• Review fixed assets tax subledger for compliance with tax depreciation methods and useful lives
• Involvement with any special tax projects as needed

The qualified Senior Tax Accountant will possess:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in taxation with at least 2 years of experience with a Big 4 or 2nd tier national firm
• A blend of public accounting & private industry experience (especially within a large multi-national corporation) is highly preferred
• A CPA license or active pursuit of a CPA is required
• A sincere desire to learn and grow within the tax field and be motivated to move up within the tax department
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - both internally and with external parties
• Any prior experience with OneSource is a plus
