Our growing financial services client is seeking a Chief Compliance Officer to join their organization to develop and implement an overall compliance strategy for the organization.  The Chief Compliance Officer will also introduce new Strategic Partner programs while maintaining compliance with federal and state lending regulations.  The Chief Compliance Officer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Create and institute a Compliance Management System (CMS) that adheres to federal and state regulatory standards and banking partner guidelines
• Manage all reporting obligations to banking partners and other reporting & regulatory agencies
• Inform Executive Management of key developments/matters related to regulatory compliance and assess the viable impact to the Company’s operations
• Monitor and ensure that all aspects of the Company’s operations – policies, procedures, pricing, software systems, marketing and customer correspondence materials, etc. – all comply with federal and state regulations
• Stay current on all federal and state regulatory changes related to consumer lending and privacy
• Participate in key strategic initiatives

The qualified Chief Compliance Officer will possess a(n):

• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 10 years of regulatory compliance experience
• Proven experience of creating and implementing a CMS program
• Outstanding working knowledge of federal and state lending laws & regulations
• Strong knowledge of BSA/AML guidelines and requirements
• An excellent ability to analyze and interpret legal and statutory materials at the state and federal levels
• Entrepreneurial mindset with hands-on execution at the ground level
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding, “start-up” type environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• CRCM Designation preferred
• Master’s Degree with at least 5 years of regulatory compliance experience
