Our consumer product client is seeking a temporary Staff Accountant to assist with daily and monthly accounting operations for approximately 6 months. The temporary Staff Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Prepare daily and monthly journal entries
• Monitor and prepare amortization of prepaid and accrual accounts
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and related variance analysis
• Perform financial statement variance explanations
• Assist with A/R & A/P when needed
• Assist with special ad-hoc projects as needed

The qualified temporary Staff Accountant will possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• At least 2+ years of experience in G/L accounting with solid exposure to balance sheet and P&L accounts and related reconciliations
• Solid Excel skills, such as pivot tables and V-lookups
• Prior experience with Oracle is preferred, but no required
• Excellent communication (both verbal and written), organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
