We understand and provide expert consultation on network and weapons systems acquisition programs, maintenance/modernization programs, and sustainment programs.

     

    We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Weapons Systems Manager (Support Equipment) to support our PAX River customer. 

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Managing Support Equipment (SE) at a programmatic level.
    • Assisting the Support Equipment Project Officer (SEPO) interfacing with aircraft program offices on SE matters such as:
    • Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) development and fielding, new common SE development and fielding, and future avionics system support planning.
    • Assisting Deputy Asst. Program Managers for Logistics develop, review or update SE requirements in Maintenance Plans or Sustainability Analyses.
    • Supporting the Change Control Board by reviewing Engineering Change Proposals for SE applicability.
    • Operating the Support Equipment Management Systems (SEMS) to include the Support Equipment. Resource Management Information System (SERMIS) and Automated Support Equipment.
    • Recommendation Data (AutoSERD) programs.
    • Processing Source Data Revision Recommendations (SODARR).
    • Maintaining or updating Support Equipment Recommendation Data (SERD) documentation for accepted support equipment.
    • Establishing End Article designations for in-production systems having an SE Requirement. Managing Configuration List Codes for End Articles.
    • Reviewing and validating SERMIS data for managed avionics systems.
    • Screening SE declared as excess for re-use, cannibalization or disposal.
    • Reviewing SE in long-term storage, validating need for continued or initiating disposal.
    • Coordinating SE disposal with the Defense Logistics Agency Disposal Service.
    • Proactively collect/receive system data and analyze, evaluate, manage and update SE requirements utilizing One-Touch, Deckplate, NATEC etc.
    • Validating Government Furnished Aeronautical Equipment inquiries from NAVSUP.
    • Interfacing with Support Equipment Controlling Authorities on:
    • Disposition of SE.
    • Validation of fleet SE requirements.
    • Inventory management.
    • SERD development or changes.
    • Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) Site planning.
    • Assisting development of Aircraft Procurement Navy (APN-7) Budget requirements procuring replacement SE.
    • Researching APN-7 action items, developing responses, and maintaining minutes.
    • Assisting generation of the annually updated Support Equipment Master Plan (SEMP) for inclusion into the NAVAIR SEMP.
    • Receiving and assisting with Naval Aviation Maintenance Discrepancy Report Program submissions.
    • Assisting root cause analysis or other investigation of SE discrepancies.
    • Responding to fleet user inquiries regarding SE.

     

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:  

    • BS or BA degree with at least 10 years of experience in life-cycle logistics under the Defense Acquisition System is required.
    • Working towards Professional Logistics Certification preferred.
    • An additional 5 years of experience may be substituted for a BS or BA degree.

     

    REQUIRED SKILLS: Experience working with the SERMIS database.

     

    DESIRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS: General electronics technician background with the ability to read/interpret schematics and other technical documentation

     

    Candidates must have an ACTIVE Secret Security Clearance.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION

    • A related associates (or relevant current industry license or certification) AND 4000 verified occupational/industry hours within 7 years
    • OR a related Bachelor's or any master's degree with 18 discipline related credits and 2000 verified occupational/industry hours within 7 years.

       

    RELATED DEGREE, CREDENTIAL, AND/OR OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE IN: Architectural Engineering, Architecture (design, drafting), Engineering, Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), Computer Science, Construction, Construction Management, Building Science, Interior Design. Previous Industry license or certification such as NCCER, General Contract License or related Business Ownership/License.
