    Talus Partner is currently looking for a Systems Administrator for our client in New Haven, CT.. The candidate will be responsible for the administration of assigned open systems across enterprise computing environment. As well as, provide Tier 2/3 support

    KEY SKILLS:

    • Ability to restore production applications when there’s an outage
    • Experience setting up Secure FTP connections is very important
    • Important to have the ability to reduce incidences and down times
    • Robust technical background to support a number of business-critical applications
    • Application support in a production environment
    • Understanding of how a 3-tiered application works
    • Ability to work with external vendors and other internal teams
    • Office 365 Exchange experience is very nice to have
    • Experience with Form Century is very nice to have
    • RPA is very nice to have

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manages incidents to restore services for business-critical open system applications; evaluates, diagnoses and establishes plan to resolve issues and perform root cause analysis. Escalates and coordinates with other IT and business support personnel, IT teams, and vendors.
    • Performs Administration for the company’s suite of applications. Duties may include ticket triage, provisioning access, maintenance, auditing and reporting, monitoring, notifications, escalations, documentation and cross-training, fulfilling application specific service requests.
    • 3.  Supports production and non-production environments at the application layer and above. Installation, configuration, and maintaining various client-server applications, including messaging/collaboration, imaging/workflow and a variety of business specific systems, both web-based and full client installed applications. Researches and recommends new or enhanced software and systems.   Participating as a SME resource in application or team specific projects. May be asked to manage small projects to completion
    • Participates in an On-call after hours support rotation schedule with weekend business critical maintenance responsibilities. Needs to be available and respond to and resolve after hours business critical incidents and maintenance.

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Strong understanding of the ITSM framework; Incident, Problem, and Change Management
    • Strong troubleshooting technique & skillset and problem-solving skills
    • Sound judgment in decision making while maintaining a sense of urgency
    • A focus on customer satisfaction and high-quality service delivery, with strong interpersonal skills and responsiveness
    • Ability to work on call and after hours/weekend support on rotation

    SYSTEMS/TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

    • Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Office 365/Exchange administration
    • Robotic Process Automation software administration (Blueprism, LINX, etc.)
    • Document Management Software (AWD, IDM, etc.)
    • FTP & SFTP File transfer software ( Cerberus SFTP, SolarWinds SFTP/SCP, etc.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • Education: BS or BA in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent combination of experience and training
