JOB SUMMARY: TAW is an electric motor company is looking for a winder to join our team. In the winder position, you will be responsible for rewinding various kinds of basic electromechanical equipment, including removing original winding, inspecting for winding failure damage, winding, and performing voltage testing on standard/basic windings. As a winder, you will apply strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to perform quality repairs to prepare stators and/or armatures for AC/DC electric motors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to collect data to repair winding system
• Ability to map out incoming connections and provided sketches
• Determine any damage to the stator or iron.
• Ability to remove/strip stator or apparatus winding without damage to core or iron
• Medial blast stator or apparatus after removal of coils
• Ability to repair stator iron as necessary before inserting coils
• Inserting prepared coils as needed per process.
• The ability to braze connections
• Test rewound electromechanical equipment according to TAW and industry standards
• Ability to operate and perform VPI
• Ability to communicate with Form Coil Maker or coil vendors on coil construction
• Ability to operate machinery

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is desired.
• Certification from a Technical school helpful.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer applications.
• Mechanical aptitude required.
• Performing the task as required.
