Under the supervision and/or direction of a Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse or Staff Nurse, the Patient Care Technician performs various type duties in the treatment and care of the adult patient as well as the infant/pediatric/adolescent patients in accordance with the established methods and procedures of UAB Medical West.

Required Skills Required Experience

• PC skills to include word-processing, spreadsheets and Outlook.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Fair Debt Collections Practices Act and advanced collection techniques for all types of loans.
• Strong, professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead by example.
• Demonstrated negotiation skills, to include the ability to handle difficult calls with tact and diplomacy.
• Communicates professionally and effectively with all levels of staff.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment and complete assigned tasks within strict timeframes.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Understands the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act and ensures compliance through monitoring and reporting of member activity as appropriate.
