    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Inside Sales Manager oversees the Inside Sales and Program Management department of Oliver Van Horn and is responsible for customer success management through the process of supervision, strategic planning, and execution of consistent process control.  

    The Inside Sales Manager manages all Program Management and Inside Sales processes and related operations, and is the liaison between the Regional Sales Managers, Program Managers and Inside Sales Team Members. They also oversee supervisors and leads, and provide mentoring and training to ensure optimal success. Additionally they oversee Sales processes in support of meeting company goals. The Program Director also manages resources to deliver targeted results: sales, gross profits, service degree, and productivity.

    $1000! If hired, you will be eligible for a $1000 sign on bonus that pays out $500 at 90 days and $500 at 180 days. 

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage and mentor team of assigned supervisors and leads within the Inside Sales department.
    • Takes leadership responsibility in overall customer satisfaction of our Inside Sales abilities and services.
    • Take overall responsibility for the service operations of each assigned branches, and implements action items to ensure that those goals are achieved.
    • Review financial statements, sales, production reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement, as well as to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
    • Supervise the development and execution to help improve departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with Oliver Van Horn executives as necessary.
    • Travels to branch locations to deliver training and ensure operational policies, procedures and objectives are met.
    • Develop performance goals and objectives for employees and monitor achievement of those goals.
    • Selects, hires and trains employees, in tandem with HR and senior management. Conducts performance appraisals and provides input to supervisors as needed.
    • Ensure process and procedures developed by other functional areas are implemented within all service departments.
    • Manage and coordinate Oliver Van Horn operational activities to maximize productivity and increase efficiency.
    • Collaborate with managers and supervisors on process improvement, unique solutions, and opportunities to drive growth and improve efficiency.
    • Collaborate with other managers to ensure effective coordination of activities.
    • Attend customer sales calls and meetings with customers.
    • Provides input to the Region Sales Manager regarding budgeting for all service departments, and ensures goals are met (sales, margins, costs/expenses, inventory).
    • Continually model and teach the corporate culture of Oliver Van Horn and the Wurth Group.
    • Ensures customer satisfaction. Represents the company at all times in a customer relations capacity.
    • Evolve the Inside Sales and Program Management processes and educate all Inside Sales Representatives, companywide, on an effective implementation.
    • Coordinate with Region Sales Managers providing input on the sales strategy to work in concert with the Inside Sales teams.
    • Maintain and foster relationships, promote alignment and communicate regularly with the other key process owners including Outside Sales, Purchasing, Quote, Implementation, Quality, Engineering and Logistics.
    • Identify training requirements for performance improvement; manage ongoing training programs for service teams.
    • Create, conduct, and complete companywide meetings and trainings related to Inside Sales teams. This position is the process owner for related ISO processes and forms.
    • Works closely with the sales organization to achieve sales and service targets via on-site inventory management activities and CPS® optimization.
    • Coordinates with Implementation Team on new customer start-ups and optimization activities in support of customers.
    • Works with team and cross functionally to identify VMI optimization and improvement opportunities.
    • Develop and continuously improve processes, systems and measurement criteria for a successful high growth sales organization.
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • A Bachelor’s degree in related field, and a minimum of 5-10 years of related management experience or commensurate combination of education and experience.
    • Results oriented, focused on continuous improvement.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong presentation and persuasive skills.
    • Participative management style.
    • Must maintain valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, and have the ability to travel 20-30% of the time, including limited international travel.
    • Able to read and interpret documents such as training instructions, shipping tickets, procedure manuals, etc.
    • Able to work with mathematical concepts such as graphs, statistics, percentages, and ratios.
    • Ability to establish credibility, respect and trust from staff and external business partners.
    • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills. Working knowledge of other Microsoft Suite of products.
    • Understanding of SAP is desirable.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities; able to gather virtual, temporary teams to solve time-critical issues, with positive outcomes for the customers as well as for the company.
    • Ability to lead and direct, both cross-functionally (peers in other departments) and within the organization, across multiple geographies.
    • Strategic thinker; uses creative and innovative problem solving in many types of diverse situations.
    • Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning ability.
    • Knowledge and experience in ISO certification.
