    ABOUT THE ROLE

    The Tank Steamer/Heater Technician is responsible for safely heating and/or steaming ISO tanks in accordance with customer requirements and company safety standards. This role supports operations by ensuring tanks reach specified temperatures and readiness for offloading and further processing.

    HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

    • Heat or steam ISO tanks to specified temperatures per customer requirements
    • Monitor heating and steaming processes to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate temperature control
    • Inspect tanks during and after heating to verify readiness
    • Dry tanks as required using approved heating and ventilation methods
    • Connect, operate, and disconnect steam lines, heating units, and related equipment
    • Continuously monitor tanks for leaks, pressure issues, or unsafe conditions
    • Follow hazardous materials (HAZMAT) handling procedures and site-specific safety protocols
    • Complete required documentation, logs, and temperature records accurately
    • Communicate equipment issues, safety concerns, or deviations to supervisors promptly
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
    • Work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as required
    • Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Prior experience in industrial, tank, terminal, chemical, or manufacturing environments preferred
    • Experience with tank heating, steaming, drying, or maintenance strongly preferred
    • Knowledge of hazardous materials handling is a plus
    • Ability to follow written work orders, procedures, and safety instructions
    • Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
    • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
