Polisher - LAVO Italian Restaurant - San Diego
DESCRIPTION
Clean, and sanitize china, silver to specified standards.
Wash and polish glasses, china and silver to specified standards, put glass and china stocks away and ensure that any breakage is reported and recorded at the end of every shift using the breakage form provided; handle glassware carefully
Clean the tools and work surfaces you use (black cloths, sinks, shelves and surfaces, cupboards, etc.)
Perform all assigned duties as detailed in your opening and closing checklists
Restock server stations with cutlery, silverware, plates, glasses, chopsticks, etc.
Ensure the closing cleaning procedures are followed and cooperate with the team in completing the bar’s end of shift duties
Perform daily and weekly cleaning duties to specified standard and in accordance with the assigned cleaning schedule
Move furniture as directed by management, including but not limited to tables, chairs, bar stools, banquettes, bar tables, boxes, equipment, etc.
Perform all assigned pre-shift duties and closing duties as detailed in your pre-shift/closing checklists
Attend pre-shift briefings and any scheduled meetings as directed by management
Ensure that all the necessary stock is being replenished during the shift
Clean tables, chairs, restaurant floors, walls, woodwork, furniture, shelves, inside and outside of side stations and any other areas of the restaurant as specified on your checklists thoroughly and on a daily basis
Use all chemicals in accordance to OSHA regulations and Company requirements
Other related duties as necessary

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
Valid Driver’s License
18+ years of age
Possession of/or ability to possess a valid state/ venue
Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards
WORKING KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Six (6) months related experience required. Familiarity working in high volume nightclub, kitchen, bar, lounge and/or restaurant
Work any day of the week and any shift
Proper lifting techniques
Inventory and stock rotation
Guest relations
Sanitation and safety

Must have strong problem- solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively and assertively in the English language, both verbally and in writing with staff, clients, and the general public
