Restaurant Reservations Manager - Los Angeles
Overview: The Reservations Manager is responsible for overseeing the reservation department.
Job Description:
· Responsible for staffing the department with host.
· Responsible for training, scheduling, coaching, the host staff.
· Responsible for ordering uniforms and assuring staff maintains presentation.
· Oversee payroll for the department.
· Mange the reservation book to maximize seating potential.
· Work as a Maitre D when needed.
· Work on the floor and oversee service when needed.
· Manage inventory for menu covers, prepared menus for circulation, dress back up for host team, office supplies, radio and pagers.
· Issue gift cards/comp cards and track with accounting department.
· Assure that PIV slips, Specialty dinner menus, business cards, are always on hand.
· Maintain phone and voicemail system with IT including updating extension list.
· Organize front door, office and all lost and found items.
· Act as a liaison between hotel, sales department, and box office.
· Maintain and continue outreach program restaurants and the hotel.
· Review and approve to pay open table bills and concierge commission.
· Work with guests to solidify specialty cake orders, receive and approve payment.
· Prepare menu’s for BEO’s.
· Complete and send out the daily cover reports.
Experience/Skills:
· Knowledge of Open Table.
· Ability to work well without supervision.
· Be proficient in and knowledgeable of the use of a multi-line phone system.
· Have excellent inter-office relation skills.
· Handle all matters with the utmost respect for organization’s customer service expectations.
· Proficient in using all Microsoft Office programming, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
