  • Responsibilities

    This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Tao restaurants including management of the reservations book, coordinating with the Events Sales team the booking of all private events, management of all Tao operational offices, and daily operations of the FOH staff according to restaurant policies and procedures.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:

    Management of the reservations book

    Management of Tao operational offices

    Manages the daily activities of FOH staff on a shift to shift basis to ensure adherence to established standards and steps of service

    Works with the restaurant FOH and HOH leadership teams to achieve the established P&L guidelines.

    Minimum Education and Qualifications:

    Minimum 2-3 years previous hospitality supervisory/management experience within a high-volume setting is essential.

    Two-year associate degree (60 credit hours) in Hospitality, Business etc. or equivalent work experience preferred.

    Strong guest service foundation, ability to coach, build a team, problem solve, and leadership skills required.

    Must be organized, self-motivated, and proactive with a strong attention to detail.

    Proficient with computers (Microsoft Products), POS and technology.

    Assists in training, evaluating, and scheduling FOH staff

    Works with Purchasing and/or Warehouse Departments to ensure that any necessary operating supplies are procured

    Assists the HOH leadership team with ongoing coaching programs with line employees to enhance skills and team building

    Assists with developing weekly schedules and maintaining the payroll of all dining room staff

    Physical Demands and Work Environment:

    Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time.

    Must be able to bend and lift to 50 lbs.

    Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.

    Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.

    Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

    Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
