    Job Description

    We are looking for an experienced Product Manager in the technology or IoT industries!  

    MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

    The Product Manager is responsible for strategic and functional leadership of product management and product development activities.  This position will be instrumental in the definition and execution of our product strategy and roadmap. 

    As needed for a short period of time, help lead a team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency for a specific product. 

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Help define the product strategy and roadmap working with Engineering and Marketing teams
    • Develop and implement Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and develop appropriate programs to ensure they are achieved.   
    • Represent the customer and coordinate all activities associated with product development. 
    • Lead product definition – own and drive the competitive analysis and business metrics to inform direction.
    • Effectively define and communicate the product vision by including all aspects to future technology roadmap, innovation, and experimentation.
    • Define, analyze and communicate product successes/failures and sales metrics to the leadership team.
    • Propose overall project budget to ensure success. Work with operations to drive cost down.
    • Work closely with the development team to communicate features, priorities, and requirements. 
    • Engage frequently to influence the development team.  Facilitate discussions, provide clarification, provide input on contribute to design activities and decisions. 
    • Measure product performance(s).
    • Create project surveys and distil learnings for future projects. 
    • Coordinate and participate in user acceptance testing efforts to ensure the delivered products meet the required functionality, interface and requirements.
    • Identify and fill product gaps, generate new ideas that grow market share, improve stakeholder experience and drive growth.
    • Help work with NPI process and identify issues and help drive resolutions.
    • Help with vendor qualifications.

     REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or related work experience. 
    • Minimum 4 years of experience in product management or similar role.
    • Knowledge of product management principles.

    PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • 5+ years of product management experience or similar role.
    • Solid understanding of application development life cycles and processes

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit.  The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stand.  The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 45 pounds. 

    POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

    This is a full-time position.  Days and hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM TO 5:00 PM. 

    Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

    TRAVEL:

    Up to 10% of national and international travel is anticipated for this position with all USA locations and other global Taoglas locations.

    Some occasional local day travel may be necessary.
