    SAN FRANCISCO, CA

    6 MONTH CONTRACT

    PAYRATE: $40/HR

     

    We are looking for a strategic marketer who loves words and can help small businesses grow by crafting compelling content that educates prospects and wins loyalty from customers.  As a Web & Content Marketer, you will shape the company brand experience for small businesses and educate them about our “local business” platform across a variety of content types and channels to support product growth.

     

    The ideal candidate understands that content marketing is more than just words.  In your day-to-day, you will be responsible for developing web content for the company’s “local business” audience, manage and optimize existing content, and execute cross-channel campaigns.  We are looking for someone who is an exceptional storyteller, customer obsessed, and grounded in SMB trends, insights, and data.  The person in this role will collaborate closely with team members across the organization to write and edit educational content, plus help manage content strategy for our website to fuel business growth and ensure our visitors have the best web experience possible.

     

    JOB DUTIES:

    • Create content that is tailored to our SMB audience across owned channels.
    • Partner closely with Product Marketing, Product Design, Partnerships, and Comms to produce content that supports our marketing goals, with an emphasis on product education and testimonials.
    • Drive digital projects from start to finish. Ideate, plan, and develop best practice blog articles, emails, social media, landing pages, and more.
    • Review, edit, and improve content written by others.
    • Manage daily workflow for editing and publishing content, including management of our external writers, agencies and partners.
    • Apply our new brand voice and tone guidelines to maintain consistency and quality.
    • Incorporate metrics and track progress using qualitative and quantative data on content, and make and track progress using qualitative and quantitative data on content, and make actionable recommendations for improvement.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Experience writing B2B content for web experiences or in a content marketing role
    • Knowledge and empathy related to the small business customer needs, pain points, and trends
    • Strong editing skills (in particular, making text shorter, more human, and easier to understand).
    • Strong writing skills and the ability to explain complex concepts succinctly and clearly.
    • Sharp judgement when prioritizing tasks and a strong sense of urgency in driving projects to completion.
    • Experience managing content creators and external creative agencies.
    • Metrics-driven mindset with an interest in measuring the effectiveness of content and in making data-informed improvements.
    • Demonstrated success creating content for different channels and multi-channel campaigns.

    BONUS POINTS:

    • Experience working with a CMS and/or publishing content to the web.
    • Familiarity with Hubspot, Instapages, Figma, Google Analytics.
    • Image editing skills.
    • Experience working in customer-facing and/or community management role a plus
    • Experience with web and SEO strategy.
