    Job Description

    NETWORK ENGINEER (ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED)

    VENTURA, CA

    DIRECT HIRE

    $110K+/YR DOE

     

    As a Network Engineer for the company, your job will be to oversee the configuration of the network in the control systems lab. You will be faced with scaling the network, deploying new capabilities and technologies while maintaining legacy system support, and providing additional features necessary for the variety of Department of Defense (DoD) applications and services our customers demand.

     

    JOB DUTIES:

    • Operate and manage the network infrastructure related to the RDT&E environment as well as the control system lab.
    • Manage setup and configuration of network equipment in test environment to ensure lab is capable of replicating production network for troubleshooting.
    • Configure test environment with baseline configuration mirroring a production environment, troubleshoot reported issues, and provide recommended solutions.
    • Provide recommended network design solutions that support requirements across current and planned CSPE enclaves.
    • Analyze interoperability with other facilities and reporting activities pertaining to network design.
    • Perform vulnerability scans and compliance verification on network equipment to maintain certification and accreditation.
    • Develop and document test frameworks and lab infrastructures to ensure that testing is thorough, consistent, and repeatable.
    • Up to 25% travel, CONUS and OCONUS.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Active Secret Level Security Clearance.
    • CCNP and Security+ or higher level security certification
    • Experience with Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI)
    • Experience with software defined networking, preferred operational technology
    • Strong knowledge of Network Protocols and OS (OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, BGP, TCP/IP, etc.)
    • Knowledge of VPN, Firewalls, IPS, Load balancing, Cisco Access Points and Controllers
    • Experience troubleshooting network functional and performance issues
    • Strong team player with proven experience and ability to collaborate internally among teams and externally among application and business units
    • Strong written and oral communications skills, with strong attention to detail
