We are looking for a skilled Technical/Content Writer to create a suite of support documentation for our proprietary system and develop the “voice” of our software tool. This individual will help build articles in our knowledge base, create simple screen capture training videos where needed, and write training documentation. On the content writer side, they will work with our StaffingNation department to create content within the application including pages, email notifications, info boxes, forms, and error messaging. This individual will edit and clean-up content for the application provided by various teams (Operations, Compliance, etc.) including informational text, forms, list headers, etc.
Key Responsibilities
Develop content, messaging, and “voice” of our proprietary software system
Research, outline, write, and edit content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements
Gather information from subject-matter experts and develop, organize, and write technical documentation, procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
Work with development, QA and support leads to identify documentation repositories, revise, and edit current materials, and create new materials for data compilation and centralized storage
Research, create, and maintain information architecture templates that adhere to organizational and legal standards and allow for easy data migration
Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with consistent voice across all documentation
Qualifications & Skills
4-7 years of experience as an effective technical writer
Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter
Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences
Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
Experience in working with engineers to improve user experience (ex: design, UI), refine content, and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Hands-on experience with systems such as Confluence, Jira, Cayzu, etc.
Ability to meet deadlines and self-direct

Additional compensation may be earned by exceeding sales and service goals.
