We are seeking a Fiber Designer I for a Temp to Hire opportunity in Fishers, IN.
Responsibilities:
- Design and review fiber optic network designs as per each individual project requirements by utilizing CAD/GIS platforms
- Obtain field data collection
- Create detailed construction / permit packages as per customer and local permitting guidelines
- Create fiber splicing packages
- Review and update network As-built information from construction redlines
- Meet deadlines and complete tasks with high accuracy and strong attention to details
- Review others work for design integrity, completeness, accuracy, clarity, and quality
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have prior OSP engineering design experience and should be familiar with fiber planning concepts
- Must have previous experience in preparation of permit applications and drawings
- Be familiar with reading and extrapolating data from state and local highway plans, as well as scaled engineering plants
- Possess basic knowledge of Inside Plant (ISP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Visio, Google Earth, CAD and GIS software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated and a team player
- Must possess a valid driver’s license as you may be required to travel for assigned projects
Education:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.
