    Now Hiring – Experienced Professional to Manage Our 3rd Party Billing Team

    Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-6pm, (8 hour shift)

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage the 3rd Party Billing team and processes
    • Monitor major projects for timely competition and efficiency
    • Establish daily communication (chat room) with insurance team with routine check-ins on current issues/progress.
    • Host weekly call-ins to discuss upcoming projects, address team concerns, and promote healthy work environment
    • Schedule routine one-on-one with members to discuss workload, process improvements, and provide occasional “progress” report – opportunities for growth
    • Oversee employee schedules and PTO
    • Assist insurance team with daily judgment calls, including write-offs, holding expensive medications, and complicated prior authorizations
    • Address contracting/insurance concerns, general process improvements, and discuss upcoming projects/growth
    • Monitor and coordinate any necessary rebills, “write off” situations, or various projects.
    • Review insurance contract notifications (with rates or new policies)
    • Monitor department email group and routine templates sent to facilities

     

    REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    • Working knowledge of Medicare Part D, Medicaid, Managed Medicaid

    • Must possess a Texas State Board of Pharmacy Technician License

    • Type an average of 50 wpm

    • Excellent phone skills, verbal and written communication skills and active listening

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software (Outlook, Excel)

    • Is comfortable making phone calls and can handle difficult conversations

    • Understands basic pharmacy language to interpret prescriptions

    • Three (3) years’ experience in a retail or long-term care pharmacy environment

    • Excellent problem solving abilities

    • Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment

    • Team player who is willing to assist other departments when needed

    • Communicate effectively with leadership and peers

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be able to withstand long hours of computer screen time
    • Repetitive motion deskwork
