    At Taste Buds Kitchen, we provide culinary entertainment to kids, families, and adults in a fun, beautiful, and state-of-the-art kitchen studio. Kids ages 2 to teen love our hands-on cooking classes, camps, birthday parties, and field trips. Adults love our BYOB date night cooking classes, birthday parties, bachelorettes, showers, and corporate events.     Job Description

    Love kids, cooking, and looking for a summer job?! We're hiring a Seasonal Summer Camp Cooking Teacher for our kiddos between the ages of 9-13 years old. We're seeking high-energy individuals who are passionate about food and inspiring those around them to have fun in the kitchen. Help us to create an amazing experience for our cooking campers while teaching them advanced cooking and baking techniques, recipe reading, and knife skills.

    Responsibilities

    Instruct an amazing 3-hour kids' cooking camp for ages 9-13

    Engage and teach campers about various cooking/baking skills related to the class menu

    Create a friendly, energetic, and consistent experience for our guests

    Responsible for the success of the event from start to finish

    Interact with all guests to ensure customer satisfaction

    Sometimes you will work solo, other times, you will manage a supervise a team of culinary assistants for larger events

    Setup before class and clean up after

    Create a controlled safe and clean environment; provide first aid treatment as needed

    Qualifications

    Self-starter who can work in a fast-paced environment and move quickly

    Natural curiosity and passion for food & culinary entertainment

    Upbeat personality with a smile on your face a majority of the time.

    Eagerness to get your hands dirty

    Great communication skills with children

    Confident with a range of cooking and baking techniques and speaking in front of a group with an amplified speaking voice

    At least one or more years experience entertaining kids and/or adults

    Formal culinary education or relevant restaurant experience a plus

    Formal teaching experience and training in education, childhood development, or related field a plus

    Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 45 pounds

    Must pass a background check and be first aid/CPR certified (can be obtained after hired)

    Must enjoy the atmosphere of a small business

    Schedule/Availability

    Must be available Monday to Friday 12-5 pm for the full camp season (June 10-August 23) - 25 hours per week. Priority is given to those available for the entire camp season. Additional hours are available on nights/weekends if desired. Opportunity to start now on similar event types in our kitchen studio.
