Cooking Class Instructor (part-time) Job Description:

At Taste Buds Kitchen, the Cooking Class Instructor hosts 2-3 cooking classes per week for adult and kids! We are looking for a high-energy individual who enjoys inspiring those around them to have fun in the kitchen. The right candidate should have prior culinary experience, a passion for the all things food, and the organizational skills required to plan and host cooking classes and events for people of all ages.

Cooking Class Instructor Responsibilities:

We host events seven days a week, for part-time positions, you must be able to work at least two events each week, and be available nights and weekends.

Instruct cooking classes, team building events, and parties for groups of up to 40 people.

Engage and teach guests about various cooking/baking skills related to the class menu.

Create a friendly, energetic, and consistent experience for our guests.

Responsible for the success of the event from start to finish.

Manage and supervise a team of culinary assistants for most events.

Ensure proper set up of the studio before class and clean-up after.

Create a controlled, safe, and clean environment.

Provide first aid / CPR treatment if needed.

Cooking Class Instructor Qualifications:

Self-starter who can work in a fast-paced environment and move quickly

Natural curiosity and passion for food & culinary entertainment

Upbeat personality with an infectious smile

Eagerness to get your hands dirty

Great communication skills

Confident with a range of cooking and baking techniques and speaking in front of a group

At least one or more years of experience entertaining kids and/or adults.

Formal culinary education or relevant experience is a plus.

Formal teaching experience and training in education, childhood development, or related field is a plus.

Be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 50 pounds.

Be first aid/CPR certified.
