Requirements This dual role will allow for the right candidate to learn multiple facets of our Tasting Room operations.
Must posses a positive attitude and friendly demeanor. Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to answer phones and interact with guests in a professional manner. Prior knowledge of TOCK reservation system is preferred but not necessary. Ability to treat associates/guests in a respectful manner, and consistently striving to do better. Needs to be able to work in a fast paced environment and be detailed orientated. Must be able lift 40-50 pounds and to stand for 6+ hours. Weekends are a must.
Responsibilities As a host, responsibilities include welcoming all guests and giving directions/instructions to ensure a positive experience and communicating company policies in a professional manner. Answering phones and transferring calls, as well as seating reservations and walk-in guests in the Tasting Room. The host will also make reservations and send guests messages using TOCK reservation system. Upon exit, thanking guests for their visit.
As a barback, responsibilities include retrieving dirty glassware, polishing glassware, restocking glassware for the Tasting Room & Wine Club Lounge/Patio. Maintaining full stock of marinara, breadsticks, chocolates, etc. behind the Tasting Room bar.
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the utility room, which includes the counters being clean, shelving organized, trash and recycling organized, and cupboards organized. Bringing wine and supplies from the cold storage warehouse as requested by servers and management. Emptying all trash and recycling as needed. Ensuring that wine servers have all resources available to provide guest service. Other duties assigned by Management.
