    Job Description

    We are seeking a property & casualty insurance Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our team! We are looking for a high character, hardworking, self-motivated candidate with great interpersonal skills. We are looking for a CSR that wants to grow & develop alongside our business over the coming years & we can accommodate flexible work schedules for the right applicant.     DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    A Customer Service Representative’s primary duty is to support the agency’s clients and management. Their job requires that they maintain a professional, positive attitude when interacting with clients & colleagues in-person, over the phone or by email.

    • Collate and distribute mail
    • Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical
    • Maintain all insurance documents in a confidential way
    • Ensure that customers remain satisfied with products & services via constant communication.
    • Letting customers or clients know about additional products or services
    • Troubleshooting common issues with a product or service
    • Escalating queries and concerns to appropriate parties to find solutions.

    SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

    At the core, the Customer Service Representative role is a support position, meaning that communications and decision-making are paramount. Customer Service Representatives need a variety of skills and qualifications to succeed, including:

    • Interpersonal and customer service skills
    • Written and verbal communication skills are crucial
    • Ability to always put client needs first.
    • Good Understanding of the internet and primary MS applications.
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Multitasking and organizational skills
    • Ability to answer a high volume of calls and/or emails daily
    • Ability to prioritize workload & utilize good time management skills
    • Attentiveness and patience
    • Ability to find the positive in any situation
    • Being licensed in P&C in CA is a plus, but not a requirement

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • High school diploma or GED required. Advanced degrees welcome, but emphasis will be placed on desire & ability to learn on the job.
    • CSR applicants are eligible with no prior experience, however ideal candidates would have one to three years of experience in a customer-facing role.
    • Being licensed in P&C in CA is a plus, but not a requirement

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

    • Compensation: Compensation will be dependent on education & experience, but will fall within the range of $20-$25/hr.
    • Monday to Friday, No nights, No weekends
    • Flexible schedules available for right applicant
    • Will be eligible for PTO as accrued
    • Will be eligible for Medical Insurance (100% employer cost) if employee works 30+ hours a week.
    • Will be eligible for SEP IRA (100% employer contribution) after 2 years of employment
