    We're looking for a Tax Accountant with a CPA or EA license. At Countless, we work with our small business clients throughout the year - not just at tax time. The role involves building relationships with clients, advising them on financial and tax-related matters, ensuring their books are up-to-date, accurate, and positioned for opportunities, providing ongoing tax planning, and eventually preparing the annual return. Responsibilities: • Advise clients on their small business accounting and tax needs, including being the point of contact for your book of clients • Review financials (monthly or quarterly) prepared by our in-house staff accountants or the client's self-prepared financials biannually • Create and maintain work papers for clients (annual tax work papers and monthly/quarterly work papers for financial reporting) • Tax projections on a monthly/quarterly basis, with ongoing planning and research for the clients, including entity structure and retirement contribution tax strategies • Sales tax review • Annual income tax preparation (individual and business) • Payroll oversight, including S-Corp reasonable compensation, payroll, and multi-state payroll matters for clients • Troubleshoot various software integrations (Xero, QBO, HubDoc, Expensify, Zapier, Shopify, Square, Stripe, etc.) • Accounts receivable and accounts payable oversight • Bank, credit card, merchant account, clearing account, and other balance sheet account reconciliations Qualifications: • CPA/EA • Experience working with small businesses (specifically, closely held pass-through entities) • Experience with accrual/GAAP reporting and work papers • Experience with preparing and advising on small business taxes (Schedule C, S-Corp, C-Corp, and Partnerships) • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • A love for technology and intuitive computer skills • Ability to take ownership, while realizing when it’s time to reach out for help • A deep understanding of financial statements and the ability to explain the numbers to clients in their language Compensation: $60,000 - $90,000 yearly
