Position: Tax Accountant – Level II
Contract Length: 12/7/26 – 4/15/27 (Potential Extension or Temp-to-Perm)
Location: Dallas, TX
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift
Pay: $24.86/HR, Paid Weekly

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to support tax reporting for Individual Retirement Account (IRA) clients. This role is responsible for reviewing client records, supporting state tax reporting, maintaining accurate tax documentation, and preparing tax returns and related reports.

The ideal candidate has a background in tax accounting, strong analytical skills, and intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency. This position requires accuracy, organization, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain tax records, returns, supporting schedules, and related reports.
• Review client records for accuracy and completeness to support IRA tax reporting.
• Assist with state tax reporting and related documentation.
• Prepare paperwork and supporting documents for local, state, and federal tax filings.
• Analyze and organize financial and tax-related data using Microsoft Excel.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and follows established procedures and reporting requirements.
• Manage assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Work under general supervision while exercising sound judgment and attention to detail.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in tax accounting or a related field.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage assigned responsibilities in a professional environment.

Schedule & Attendance Expectations:

This is a full-time assignment with an expectation of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Start and end times are flexible within the established first-shift schedule. Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential for this role.

Working Conditions:

• May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as from office equipment.
• The ability to lift up to 30lbs.
• Use of computers and technology.
