Tax & Administrative Associate
Job Description
The Tax & Administrative Associate will provide both tax preparation and administrative support to our tax department. This role is ideal for someone with experience in a tax/accounting firm who enjoys variety, is detail-oriented, and can confidently interact with clients.
You will:
Prepare individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns in CCH Axcess under the supervision of the CPA/Accountant.
Assist with payroll filings, state and local compliance documents, and e-filing returns/extensions.
Make calls to the IRS and state agencies on behalf of clients.
Support client communication, including gathering documents, scheduling calls, and responding to requests.
Assist the CPA with billing and invoicing.
Help manage TaxDome pipelines to ensure deadlines and processes stay on track.
Organize and maintain client records in TaxDome/OneDrive.
Provide administrative support as needed to the CPA and Accountant.
Take on additional tax preparation and review responsibilities over time as experience grows.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in a tax/accounting firm (required).
Hands-on experience preparing individual and/or business tax returns.
Strong understanding of financial statements.
Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with CCH Axcess preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident in client interactions.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
Self-starter who can work independently in-office and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
