  • Responsibilities

    As a Tax Administrator at our firm, you are responsible for providing administrative support for clients and internal staff in advisory, accounting, and tax service lines. Responsibilities in this role may include onboarding of clients, assembly and delivery of engagement deliverables, timely responses to client and staff inquiries, and entering and maintaining accurate information in firm databases.

    Required Education and Experience:

    • Associate's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
    • 2+ years of administrative experience, preferably in a tax, accounting or financial services environment

    Areas of Responsibility

    • Assemble and deliver tax extensions and tax returns to clients, ensuring clients receive clear instructions for mailing and payment processing
    • Prepare and deliver engagement agreements, tax organizers, powers of attorney, and other documents to clients
    • Communicate effectively across departments regarding process compliance, project status, and client communication
    • Assist with e-filing procedures and track acceptance/rejection notices
    • Process incoming client tax organizers and documents
    • Create and update client profiles in tax software, client portal, task management, and client management systems (CMS)
    • Maintain organization of filing systems (eg. Gdrive) in compliance with retention policies
    • Respond to client inquiries within 24-48 hours
    • Coordinate 3rd party requests on behalf of clients
    • Prepare, send, and confirm receipt of faxes
    • Seek out assistance to complete tasks and projects as needed by attending working sessions, using team Slack channels, and asking peers and supervisors
    • Adhere to professional ethics of the firm and AICPA, including policies regarding client confidentiality
    • Assist in various projects throughout the year designed to enhance client/employee experience including, but not limited to process improvements, efficiency and effectiveness committees, and development and delivery of training materials

    Preferred Skills and Experience:

    • 3-5 years of experience in a Tax Admin Role
