    The Income Tax Center is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and servant-hearted Operations Manager (Tax and Accounting Manager) to lead the daily operations of our growing tax preparation, bookkeeping, and strategic tax planning divisions. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong experience in accounting operations, tax processes, staff oversight, and client service. Responsibilities: Operational Leadership • Oversee day-to-day operations across all divisions: Tax Preparation, Bookkeeping, Advanced Tax Strategy (ATS), and Admin Support. • Ensure workflow consistency and timely delivery of services by managing task assignments, calendars, and team coordination. • Lead weekly team meetings for each division, ensuring alignment, accountability, and continuous improvement. Team Oversight & Development • Supervise and support a multi-disciplinary team, including CPAs, tax preparers, bookkeepers, and admin staff. • Conduct performance reviews, offer coaching and accountability, and support professional development. • Foster a healthy, positive team culture rooted in excellence, care, and clear communication. Client Experience & Quality Control • Ensure that client engagements are handled with professionalism and joy — from onboarding through delivery. • Oversee the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of all tax returns, bookkeeping reports, and strategic deliverables. • Monitor quality control systems, including e-filing, document tracking (e.g., DocuSign), and fee collection. Systems, Processes & Technology • Maintain and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all operational workflows. • Manage software tools (e.g., Canopy, QuickBooks, Drake, TaxDome, etc.) and ensure proper team usage. • Collaborate with IT and Admin staff to ensure secure data storage, document handling, and software integrations. Strategic Collaboration • Work directly with the Owner and ATS team to implement strategic tax plans, client segmentation, and growth initiatives. • Support new client onboarding and service package delivery with administrative and sales support. • Contribute to business planning, internal compliance, and seasonal workforce coordination. Qualifications: Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (CPA or EA preferred but not required). • Minimum 5 years of experience in tax preparation, accounting operations, or financial services. • Proven experience leading teams in a professional services environment. • Strong understanding of tax return preparation (individual and business), bookkeeping workflows, and financial statement accuracy. • Proficiency in accounting and tax software such as QuickBooks, Drake, TaxDome, Canopy, or similar platforms. Compensation: $125,000 - $150,000 yearly
