Our client is a very stable global company looking for a Tax Compliance Director.
Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance
1\. Prepare federal consolidated Form 1120 and multiple state income tax returns using CORPTAX or similar
2\. Tax depreciation reconciliation and preparation of Forms 4562, 4626 and 4797.
3\. Responsible for all book to tax adjustments associated with Form 1120 including bonus
depreciation, UNICAP, 163(j), etc.
4\. Upload International Tax Packs needed for preparation of Forms 5471, 8858 and 8865
5\. Responsible for computing apportionment and all required state tax modifications including
bonus depreciation, 163(j), etc.
6\. Assessing Nexus and required tax filings
7\. Prepare all extensions and estimated tax payments
Tax Planning
1\. Manage US domestic and state tax issues associated with acquisitions, dispositions,
restructurings, and general tax planning
2\. Monitor changes in US and state tax law
Tax Accounting
1\. Maintain inventory of federal deferred taxes and various other permanent adjustments (e.g.,
M&E, Lobbying)
2\. Computing provision to return adjustments
3\. Preparation of the following year-end tax provision inputs:
? NOL expiration and V/A analysis
? State FIN 48
? State effective tax rate
? Bonus depreciation state deferred tax adjustment
? Current state tax accrual
Audit Defense
1\. Primary responsibility for defending Crown against IRS and multiple state tax audits
Qualifications
1\. CORPTAX Experience required
2\. ASC 740 knowledge preferred
3\. Experience with AS400, Onstream and Alteryx preferred
4\. Ability to manage multiple staff and meet deadlines
5\. Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, master’s degree and/or CPA preferred
6\. 8 or more years or relevant public accounting and/or industry experience
