    Position Summary:

    The Tax Credit Specialist is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and overall efforts with respect to donors, both personal and business participation in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Tax Credit Program. The PA Tax Credit Program plays a critical role in providing tuition assistance to prospective families by providing crucial resources that makes a Judge Education affordable for countless families in the region. This position, which falls inside the Advancement Office, reports directly to the President of Father Judge High School.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    This person is responsible for developing strategies for marketing, promoting, informing/educating, acknowledging, and stewarding all personal and corporate donors to this program which includes but is not limited to:

    • Work with the Office of the President and Development Team to develop all marketing materials – print, social media, electronic, video, etc.
    • Responsible to steward and cultivate existing donors to the program.
    • Responsible to use Blackbaud’s Raisers Edge Platform coupled with wealth screening software to identify, network, cultivate, and solicit prospects for participation.
    • Responsible to develop and track the moves management cultivation pipeline with prospects keeping accurate donor profiles throughout the process per best practices associated with FJ Development standard operating procedures.
    • Responsible to work with the prospective donor(s)/business(es), their accountants, and FJ Partner Scholarship Organizations (SO) to assist donors with questions related to participation, completion of forms requested via SO for participation as required by the Commonwealth of PA.
    • Responsible to host (2) yearly on campus events for the purpose of both ensuring existing donors are appreciated/stewarded and potential prospects are cultivated, educated on the value of the program, how it works, and its specific impact at Father Judge High School.
    • Determine strategic plans both short and long term regarding the direction of the tax credit program
    • Attend external events and develop networks to enhance partnership efforts of the high school community.
    • Cultivate prospects through mail, phone, and/or e-mail and document this interaction in Raisers Edge (minimum of ?? per month).
    • Identify businesses owned by members of the school community; business run by members of the school community, residents of PA, and those who have tax liability in the state of PA to secure tax credit donations (EITC/OSTC) from this collective pool of prospects.
    • Build relationships with high network individuals to expand prospect pool
    • Develop donor communication tools for cultivation, recognition, stewardship and solicitation.
    • Prepare weekly and monthly activity reports that describe cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities based on information recorded in Raisers Edge.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the President.

    ** Preferred Qualifications & Experience**

    • Manifest the traditional Catholic/Christian values and mission of Father Judge High School.
    • BA/BS required; advance business degree preferred.
    • 3-5 years relevant experience in development and fundraising activities with a not-for-profit organization, including demonstrated success in development, soliciting and securing major gifts from both private and public sources, institutional planning, and working with Board(s).
    • Must be computer literate.
    • Ability to think creatively and strategically.
    • Must possess strong organizational skills and demonstrate an ability to work in a team environment.
    • Demonstrate an energetic and service oriented approach to promoting the institutional advancement needs of the school.
    • Strong communication skills that will effectively support the identification and solicitation of all prospects and volunteers.
    • High-energy individual who is self-motivated, and a confident, capable presenter, both verbal and written.
    • Proven ability to lead measurable, performance objectives (annual performance evaluations) with philanthropic efforts.
    • Experience with Raisers Edge.
