Director of Tax & Accounting
Hybrid – Methuen, MA
Full-time | Bonus-Eligible |
Overview:
A progressive and tech-forward accounting firm is seeking a Director of Tax & Accounting to lead and grow our established Tax & Accounting department. This is an excellent opportunity for a rising leader—perhaps a Senior Manager or Manager at a regional firm—seeking greater autonomy, meaningful leadership responsibilities, and a voice in firm administration. Ideal candidates may be ready for a change due to firm mergers or are looking to make a larger impact within a smaller, more agile organization.
Who We Are:
We pride ourselves on a team-oriented, collaborative culture that prioritizes growth, innovation, and integrity. Our firm continuously embraces new technology to improve our processes. We leverage platforms like TaxCaddy for client data collection and e-signatures, and SurePrep for OCR-driven data entry into UltraTax. Our tax department processes ~350 returns annually (150 business / 200 personal), with work starting early in the season due to internally prepared financials.
