    Position Summary:

    Seeking an experienced Tax Director to join growing renewable energy team. This critical role encompasses managing all tax-related projects of the company’s activity in the US and ensuring compliance with all tax obligations across multiple states.

    Key Responsibilities:

    · Coordinating tax return deadlines, preparing and reviewing

    · Will serve as a subject matter expert and advise COBRA throughout all stages of the tax credit finance lifecycle, multiple companies within Cobra.

    · Research on various tax matters to ensure significant impact on COBRA´s financial efficiency and compliance strategy.

    · International tax compliance

    · Supervise tax research projects

    · Manage all matters related to Renewable Energy Tax Credits (RETCs)

    · Perform tax due diligence projects through a detailed review of tax credit calculations

    · Compiling summary tax due diligence reports

    · Lead credit transactions by adhering to deal deadlines, providing prompt responses

    · Prepare, manage and coordinate all tax return deadlines and documentation

    · Prepare and review workpapers for outside tax consultants

    · Review and file all tax returns for multiple states

    · Maintain current state registrations, including filing the annual reports and business licenses

    · Review various informational returns

    · Research various tax matters to ensure financial efficiency and regulatory compliance

    · Analyze complex tax matters, as necessary, especially in relation to the IRA / RETCs

    · Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration

    · Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders in Houston and the international development team in Madrid, ensuring effective communication and alignment.

    Qualifications:

    · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Tax (CPA or Master’s in Taxation preferred).

    · 07+ years of tax experience, ideally in renewable energy or infrastructure.

    · Deep knowledge of tax equity structures, partnership taxation, and SEC reporting.

    · Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.

    Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
