    Position Overview

    Aligned Solutions is seeking an experienced Tax Manager on behalf of a well-established and growing public accounting firm. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished tax professional who enjoys working with high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses while serving as a trusted advisor to clients.

    The ideal candidate will have strong technical tax expertise, exceptional client relationship skills, and experience leading tax engagements and mentoring staff within a collaborative public accounting environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage tax engagements for high-net-worth individuals and pass-through entities.
    • Review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations.
    • Conduct technical tax research and provide practical recommendations to clients and firm leadership.
    • Identify tax planning opportunities and strategies to help clients minimize tax exposure.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor by building and maintaining strong client relationships.
    • Collaborate with partners and senior leadership on complex tax matters and consulting engagements.
    • Supervise, mentor, and develop tax professionals while reviewing work for quality and accuracy.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations, professional standards, and firm policies.
    • Assist with workflow management, client communications, and engagement planning.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
    • CPA license required.
    • Master's in Taxation or LLM preferred.
    • 5–10+ years of public accounting tax experience.
    • Experience with regional or national public accounting firms is highly preferred.
    • Strong experience preparing and reviewing tax returns for:
      • High-net-worth individuals
      • Partnerships
      • S Corporations
      • C Corporations
    • Strong knowledge of federal tax law, tax planning strategies, and tax research.
    • Working knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and financial reporting standards.
    • Experience utilizing tax software and research tools such as CCH, ProSystem fx, or similar platforms.
    • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
