“Be the reason a boutique firm runs smoother, grows smarter, and clients come back every year.”
Cook CPA doesn't need another tax manager who just checks boxes. They're looking for someone who wants to build something better, without needing a partner title to do it.
In this role, you’ll step into a respected Wichita-based CPA firm and immediately lead tax compliance during peak season: returns, resolutions, workflow management... the works. But once April passes, you’ll shift into planning, strategy, and advisory for high-value clients, shaping how the firm grows and evolves.
Here’s what makes this role different:
Entrepreneurial Impact Without the Equity Pressure
You’ll improve systems, shape process, and elevate your team with full support from the Owner.
Career Growth That Isn’t Confined to Compliance
Yes, you’ll manage returns. But your path moves toward strategic tax planning and client advisory, not more volume.
Leadership with Purpose
Mentor two tax professionals, lead by example, and help the department grow and not just keep up.
Client Engagement, Not Just Review Loops
You’ll be the face of onboarding and trusted advisor to the firm’s growing base of high-net-worth clients and business owners.
You’ll work side-by-side with a transparent, systems-minded Owner who values people, autonomy, and long-term thinking. And you’ll help shape what modern, relationship-driven tax work looks like.
