Tax Manager – Downtown Los Angeles (Onsite)
Our client, a rapidly growing tax resolution firm in Downtown Los Angeles, is partnering with New Gig Solutions to bring on a Tax Manager who can build and oversee a new in-house tax preparation department. This is a strategic hire with significant influence over team development, workflow structure, and overall client experience.
About the Role
The Tax Manager will take ownership of all tax preparation operations, ensuring clients enrolled in resolution programs receive accurate and timely filings. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on leadership role and enjoys creating systems and standards that elevate service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Establish and lead a newly formed team of tax preparers.
• Review and sign off on both individual and business returns.
• Work closely with attorneys, enrolled agents, and case managers to support client tax strategies.
• Maintain oversight of all filing deadlines and compliance requirements.
• Develop efficient processes, quality controls, and best practices as the department scales.
• Monitor changes in federal and state tax regulations to ensure accuracy across all filings.
Ideal Background
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on tax preparation experience, including complex filings.
• Prior team leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong command of IRS procedures and state tax rules.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor a growing team.
