About the Role Purvis Gray is seeking a Tax Partner to join our growing team. In this role, you will lead tax engagements and practice growth for privately held companies, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals. You’ll provide both compliance and consulting services across a range of industries while mentoring staff and deepening client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex tax engagements from planning to delivery, including partner-level review and signoff
• Deliver consulting and compliance services to privately held businesses and high-net-worth individuals
• Supervise, mentor, and develop staff in a team-oriented environment
• Perform technical tax research and develop strategic recommendations
• Identify and implement tax planning opportunities for clients
• Manage and grow client relationships, deliver exceptional service, and expand services
• Oversee engagement economics including budgeting, billing, and collections
• Drive business development and new client acquisition
• Review tax forms for individuals (Form 1040 and 1041), Exempt Orgs (Form 990), partnerships (Form 1065), and corporations (Form 1120 and 1120-S)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s in Tax or JD/LLM is a plus)
• Active CPA license
• Minimum 12+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting
• Proven business development success and ability to grow a book of business
• Advanced knowledge of flow-through/pass-through taxation
• Strong leadership, project management, communication, and client service skills
